Hey mike can u give us ur room tour ur setup
8:02 so what are the jobs for people who like to work alone ?
…..but but I like to work alone😌
That was really helpful. Thank you Mike.
That's great. It's fun.
got a question here
I am a student and I have to submit my projects soon for my graduation I am interested in modeling characters but is it alright to use other's 2d character references to make my own 3d models
if so can you suggest some of the references that will be good for me?
When I see an anvil all I can think about is Blender Guru lol
show wireframe and shaded with& without shaded shows that you know topology and maby show uv-mapping if its for ie game job? 😀
Thanks for your video, Mike. I really appreciated the tips it was really helpful!
I'd like to ask you if you could check some of my work and give feedback when you'll have spare time.
It's quite messy atm my Vimeo channel. I have mixed work in there as 3D artist and Motion Designer.
Thanks in advance!

Beauty! Let the young man shine.
sir can you make tutorial on 3d realistic character modeling in Maya
what are the different roles one would focus on as a 3D artist?
This was very helpful! Thank you so much!
Thanks Mike that's help alot…
Great video! I think the best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten in regards of portfolios is “your only as good as your worse piece .“ so make sure everything is as perfect as you can make it because that one bad piece can change everything.
Thanks! very informative!

Hi Mike. Thanks for your years of uploading/sharing awesome 3D tutorials; they've been very helpful. I have a request: Can you do a tutorial on how to animate a FISHING CAST NET in Maya? It's been a big challenge to me. I would be very grateful if this request is granted.
I've watched the entire video, I really appreciate this kind of stuff but I have one question.
In August next year I will finish my studies, the thing is, I want to spend some time making my Lighting demoreel, How much time should I spend making it? I mean, I don't want to waste a lot of time on it but at the same time I want to make a really good demoreel.
Some people told me to not rush and take my time because I'm still young and I'm not ''obliged'' to work yet but at the same time I think that the sooner I start, the better.
What are your thoughts on this?
I had a discussion on a fb page about 'should i really post only my best works on my portfolio'.
Someone mentioned that there are some people that like to see your progress during time.
Means u should keep ur old 'best work'' and your new 'best work'.
I think they said u can do it the way u want to. As u prefer u can delete everything old and just focus on ur new best stuff.
I like to see my progress and I like to rewatch my old projects and I really like them… bc there was a loooot of lifetime going in some of these.
So i would never delete them ^^''''.
I think the intro is a little bit laggy. I mean its like 4-5 fps
I want to be a 3d environment artist and in 6 months time i will have to find an internship/job…is portfolio diversity necessary for me or will only environments do?
Note environments will contain hard surface models, complex models, and realistic textured models
Thank You for sharing your information sir
Great video sir, learned a lot as always!
I am starting as a 3D artist and I need to buy a laptop. Do you have any recommendations?
