Are You a Libertarian  Election Central  Our Mission  NAP Take Up the Torch

A hearing is set before a Tennessee House Committee on January 26, 2016, to consider SJR 0067, which is the “convention of states project’s”  (COS) application for an Article V convention.  It passed the Tennessee Senate last session, and was held over to go before the House this session.

Here is the Resolution we want to stop:  http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SJR0067

Please send this to your lists - and urge them to contact the Legislators listed below and ask them to oppose SJR 0067 – it is to be heard Jan 26, 2016.

In case any of your contacts want background on why it's a dangerous idea, they can read about it here: http://www.newswithviews.com/Publius/huldah137.htm   In that article, I also describe how a Tennessee

Citizen was barred from a recent COS meeting in Nashville – where TN Legislators were present.

We know from comments made by Legislators in various States that State Legislators are influenced by lots of email.  They listen when there is considerable opposition to legislation.

Here is the contact info for the legislators on the House Committee:

Please ask the following members of the Tennessee House State Government Committee to oppose SJR0067, the COS Article V Application, (already passed Senate!) scheduled to be heard on January 26, 2016!  Unless this is defeated in the House, Tennessee will become the 5th State to pass the COS Con.
